Trump Peddles Bogus Statistic to Defend Planned Parenthood

After undercover videos released in July showed that Planned Parenthood was involved in the trafficking of aborted baby body parts, Donald Trump said he wasn't sure if the Planned Parenthood should lose all of its federal funding. He later shifted, saying: "I wouldn't do any funding as long as they are performing abortions."


Trump has stuck to that line, but he has also offered a lot of aid and comfort to Planned Parenthood by arguing it does "wonderful things." At Thursday night's debate, Trump said that "millions and millions of women — cervical cancer, breast cancer — are helped by Planned Parenthood." Trump did not mention the fact that community health centers could easily provide non-abortion services to those women and that Planned Parenthood has been caught falsely claiming that it performs mammograms.


Trump went on to say that he would defund Planned Parenthood "because of the abortion factor, which they say is 3 percent. I don't know what percentage it is. They say it's 3 percent." If Trump took the time to Google that statistic before repeating it on national television, he would have learned that it is wildly misleading.


Planned Parenthood commits more than 300,000 abortions per year. Abortions generate more than a third of the billion-dollar non-profit's revenue. You end up with the "three percent" figure only by treating the dispensing of birth control pills the same as the dismembering a human child.


"Practically every defender of the organization, fighting to preserve its federal funding, reverts to the 3 percent figure," Rich Lowry wrote in August. "The 3 percent figure is an artifice and a dodge, but even taking it on its own terms, it's not much of a defense. Only Planned Parenthood would think saying that they only kill babies 3 percent of the time is something to brag about."


"How much credit would we give someone for saying he only drives drunk 3 percent of the time, or only cheats on business trips 3 percent of the time, or only hits his wife during 3 percent of domestic disputes?" Lowry asked.

Donald Trump has reportedly picked Indiana governor Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate (though it's not quite official yet). On the surface, Pence comes off as a traditional conservative Republican, and his experience both in Congress and as a governor will round out Trump's relative inexperience and maverick-y appeal on the ticket. Right now, a thousand keyboards are clacking as political reporters churn out stories saying in so many words that the selection of Pence will likely help reassure Republicans who have their doubts about Trump's understanding of and commitment to conservative principles.



Don't believe any of them. Recall that last year, Indiana passed a state religious freedom restoration act (RFRA), which was the state version of existing federal legislation that passed Congress and was signed into President Bill Clinton with overwhelming bipartisan support. (John McCormack has an explainer of the legislation here.) Though the Indiana law is not in conflict with other LGBT protections, it was decried as an act of bigotry. Journalists started fishing for villains, settling on the religious owners of an Indiana pizza parlor who said they would not (hypothetically) want to cater a gay wedding. Companies such as Apple and Ebay, which have no problem doing business in bastions of enlightened attitudes on gays as Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, threatened to boycott Indiana. (Curiously, they have not also threatened to boycott the existing 21 states with RFRAs.)

Once it became clear that Pence was going to have to make a stand on religious freedom, he folded. Indiana's religious freedom law was gutted at Pence's direction within a week of it being passed.

Trump is a New York Billionaire who has gathered ideas from the alternative media and made them part of a new American Populist and Nationalist movement. This makes the corporate and financial elite angry at him, since Trump is one of them, in part, and they are fearful of what he might do to them if elected.

For a number of recent years the mainstream media - sometimes called the "Goverment-Media-Complex," a takeoff from Eisenhower's famous speech warning about the "Military-Industrial-Complex" - has been the propaganda arm of the federal government and of the ruling elite. Now in 2016 that old controlled media is still the propaganda arm of the political Establishment and the ruling elite.

This Govenment-Media-Complex has given the Never Trump movement its talking points and ideas. And - political correctness, being the propaganda system used by the Marxist Left to gain power - the first idea taught the Never Trump people to say is that Trump has to be a racist because he wants to protect the American people from the Islamic terrorists within the "refugees" from the Middle East and Africa. Since Trump is a Nationalist, according to the Government-Media-Complex, he must be a fascist and a Hitler. He must be made to be seen as immoral to the evangelicals.

There is the question of what extent the alternative media is reaching large numbers of the lower middle class in the U.S. Yet there appears to be millions of that class who are Trump supporters, including thousands of bikers and truckers.

And even more interesting is the question of the control that Government-Media-Complex has over the views on Trump in the churches. The churches are the multitude. I heard Steve Quayle say a few days ago that it is the remnant that is important in the struggle against the ruling elite now. He may have meant both the Christian remnant and the small number of people that the alternative media have made fully awake. We know that masses of people are partly awake, such as the bikers and truckers and others.

Many on this forum seem to be getting their talking points about Trump vs. Hillary from this Government-Media-Complex, called by the alternative media the Dinosaur Media. The alternative media does not have many broadcasters, Internet sites and writers who are well known, like Matt Drudge, Alex Jones or Michael Savage. They are a remnant, which has a large audience and who have some control of what is now called "the narrative."

Steve Quayle was known as a dispensationalist. But he is saying things that make you wonder if he is now really a dispensationalist or is becoming one of the remnant.

Washington (CNN) — Donald Trump thinks the United States should accept some refugees from Syria due to the "unbelievable humanitarian problem."

Trump has made anti-immigration rhetoric a cornerstone of his campaign, but the Republican presidential candidate said Tuesday evening that though the migrants could pose a security risk -- floating the idea that there may be individuals with ties to Islamic militants -- he supported allowing them into America.

"I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis, with what's happening, you have to," Trump said to Fox News' Bill O'Reilly.

The New York businessman spoke to O'Reilly hours after Kentucky clerk Kim Davis was released from jail after being imprisoned for declining to issue same-sex marriage licenses. Some Republicans have characterized her decision as an act of conscience that should be protected, but others have charged that government officials shouldn't let their personal beliefs get in the way of public services.

Trump puts himself in the latter camp.

"Whether you like the decision or not, you have to go along with the Supreme Court," Trump said. "This was not the right job for her."

Without these cues, the interpretation that the Deadly Wound happens to the Fourth Beast Empire in Daniel 7: 7, is not seen. In a general way what divides the Trump position from the Hillary position is that Trump and most or many of his followers are opposed to the present day rule of the financial and corporate elite. This may seem unusual, because we have not had a Populist-Nationalist movement at the national level which opposes that ruling elite. Goldwater was a Conservative who opposed the political Establishment in the mid sixties, but that Establishment managed to keep him out of office. Reagan was somewhat of a Populist. But George H.W. Bush, who is part of and represents that financial ruling elite, was elected President and took office in 1989, and since then we have had Presidents who have worked for the ruling elite.

And - since the era of Goldwater, the Government-Media-Complex has become less and less able to act as critics of the federal government and of the administrations in power. The media of radio, TV, newspapers, magazines and books to some extent became guardians of the political Establishment and of the ruling elite. The Internet, meanwhile, came into play, 15 to 20 years ago.

Toward the end of the 20th century a Patriot Movement began first using newspapers, books and short wave radio, in the mid nineties before the Internet really got going. Bill Cooper, Mark Koernke, Larry Nichols, Steve Quayle, Jeff Baker and, in the late nineties, a young Alex Jones, were on short wave.

Bill Clinton became President in 1993, and it was just a year or two into his administration that the Patriot movement got going on short wave. There were movies, VHF videos and books written also in this first phase of the Patriot movement.

The Waco Massacre in April of 1993 was investigated by the people of the small Patriot movement, movies were made revealing a story quite different from that told by the Clinton administration and the media, and the role of Hillery in the final Waco event was shown by the short wave Patriots, and others. The 911 event in September of 2001 involved the George W. Bush administration, and again, offered an opportunity for the Patriots to search out the real story and present a narrative quite different from that of the media.

Larry Nichols came into this Patriot movement during the nineties out of the Bill and Hillary Clinton Arkansas days when Bill was Governor and when he was first President. Nichols was a Clinton insider and knows Bill and Hillary well, and says he helped write the "book," that is, their "rule book" for gaining and maintaining political power.

Nichols had personal knowledge of the activities of both Bill and Hillary, the side of their lives which the alternative media has revealed, though the Government-Media-Conmplex maintains that all this is false and just conspiracy theory.

There is all kinds of information on the Clintons which began to be revealed during the old short wave radio era of about 1995 to 2005, and that revealing has continued as the Patriot Movement moved to the Internet. Now, since about 2013 some in the Patriot movement have been able to stream video of events in real time, which creates viewer interest. Revealing behind the scenes information which the mainstream media will not do also creates viewer interest.

The USA does not come even remotely close to having the world's highest abortion rate .
Brazil, where it is illegal and which is the world's largest Catholic country , has a much higher abortion rate than America. The Brazilian government can't stop abortion ; no country can .

OK Doser, laws against murder, rape, arson etc are enforceable . Laws against abortion cannot be enforced . They never have been and never will . No country has ever been able to enforce such laws . There is simply no way to do this.
Before Roe v Wade, there were countless illegal abortions in America. How many were criminally prosecuted ? You can count them on your fingers .
In order to really enforce them, a scenario such as this would have to be created by our government. Every woman and girl in America of childbearing age would have to be kept under surveillance 24/7 just to make sure they were not pregnant and seeking an abortion .
And once a woman or girl was found to be pregnant, she would have to be kept in quarantine
until she gave birth . Every corner of the Mexican and Canadian borders would have to be monitored just to make sure pregnant women were not seeking abortions.
All U.S. airports would have to check every woman or girl flying to other countries just too make sure she was not pregnant and seeking an abortion abroad . And what about women who were pregnant and flying abroad, but not seeking abortions ?
How much would such drastic measures cost ? Is this even remotely realistic ?
When that crazy megalomaniacal Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu made abortion as well as contraceptives illegal in Romania , the abortion rate went through the roof . It increased about 300 % above what it had been . Poor women continued to have illegal and dangerous abortions left and right and many died in agony ..
And many poor women gave birth to children they could not provide for, and they were placed in state institutions where they grew up in appalling conditions which stunted them mentally and physically for life . Conditions in these state orphanages were horrible beyond imagining, and the country has yet to recover from Ceausescu's megalomaniacal stupidity .
This is what happens when abortion becomes illegal, and if this happens again in America, it won't be pretty, I guarantee you .
