The Facebook and Reddit trucking groups that I read all the time often are disseminating information like that. People talking about pulling into a Loves or another large chain service station and finding that they're out.
I regularly watch a channel created by an expert excavator operator. Just coincidently he is a big fan of Volvo heavy equipment. The largest excavator he runs is a Volvo EC250. I think it's about half the size of that 650. That thing is just unbelievably massive as the bucket on the 250 is more than 6' deep and close to 5' wide and it appears very small compared to that 650 bucket.

We lose tens of thousands of Americans every year to automobile wrecks. I'm examining the idea that many of them occur because people just don't fundamentally understand inherently dangerous situations, like this poor truck driver didn't understand how dangerous this "suicide coil" was to him or her (or neither him nor her; but it was probably a him since I think the man-to-woman ratio for truckers is like 19-to-1).
It's like there are swords of Damocles hanging here and there, and when we're under one of them, we don't often grasp it. . . .
