Today, I am grateful for.....

.....Large print songbooks for the nursing home residents.

.....Our nursing home singers, of off key, on key, and between keys.

.....Mrs Psalmist who plays the piano for us.

.....Saturday's sing-along and Sunday's church service.​

We had a minister once who was tone deaf. He said "All that is required of me is to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, and I do!"
He relied heavily on the choir during the liturgy!
He and his wife were our dear friends and I have many fond memories shared with them.

I am grateful for my wife today. I met her playing volleyball at a church I was visiting. We were both 22. She couldn't stand me at first but then we kept running into each other on the Chicago subway system coming home from work.

We talked a lot on the subway and one thing led to another. My best man also did not like me at all. Isn't that funny? Two people who couldn't stand me end up my wife and best man.
