It is a little interesting that England, the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand - all English speaking nations - embraced dispensationalism to some extent, while there were other nations, which were mostly caucasian but not English speaking, that did not go for dispensationalism - nations of Europe and Russia especially, because Russia since the early nineties has returned to its Russian orthodox form of Christianity and much of Europe with some exceptions in the East, such as Poland, is now involved in "Cultural Enrichment" in bringing in hordes of Islamics and is losing its Christian base
A "rebuke" of your above, northwye - "with longsuffering and doctrine" you will distort into your false charge of "Dialectic!!!" in your willful ignorance.
Some years ago, a well known Evangelist whom I had personally known (he has since gone home to be with the Lord) went on a Missionary trip throughout various parts of Europe, as part of a training of some North Americans whom he had been training in Evangelism, who had asked he go to Europe with them to attempt to personally share the gospel of Christ in the various cities and villages they were each from.
They basically went over those areas in that part of the world that the Apostle Paul had gone over, during his own Evangelism efforts, all those centuries ago.
When they got returned, their report was not bleaker than bleak, and then some.
Everywhere he'd accompanied them to, he'd found a high proportion of atheism, and alcoholism.
What little "Christianity" he did find was either a remnant either of the RCC's and the Eastern Orthodox's works for salvation, or that of a few Jehovah's Witnesses and old school Pentecostals, here and there.
The following by the Apostle Paul, had been in light of that...
2 Timothy 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1:14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
He was describing a rapidly expanding spiritual cancer those same parts of the world were experiencing way back then.
2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
"Christian" base, you say, northwye?
As usual, you display you haven't a clue what you speak of.
Put your fool books away, and get in THE Book.
Try this (never mind the "Dispensational version" of it)...
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
Your version of that being your obvious ignorance of the so called "Christianity" that later arose in those parts of the world to replace the FINISHED work of Christ ALONE with the works based salvation of the RCC and the Eastern Orthodox.
I'm sorry, northwye, but this time, you have truly earned yourself a...
 and then some.
Thank God for Rom. 5:8.
