Jn 3:16

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Now the religion of man has perverted this scripture. One way it has done this perversion is by misrepresenting the word "believeth" here, they have made it to be a condition for Salvation and or a command that is to be obeyed. Thats called handling the word deceitfully, the word here is actually describing what some are doing, they are believing. In the greek the word is a present active participle, and its evidencing the action of those God so Loved and gave His only begotten Son for. Those God Loved and Christ died for shall eventually become believers, for its been the Just shall live by Faith, and everyone Christ died for has been made Just or Righteous Rom 5:19

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Another way the religion of man has perverted this scripture is by a headstrong, adverse defining of the word world. They have without studying the biblical use of the word forced it to say and mean everyone without exception.

That is not what the word world means or says in Jn 3:16. The greek word for world kosmos means:

1. an apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, government
2. ornament, decoration, adornment, i.e. the arrangement of the stars, 'the heavenly hosts', as the ornament of the heavens. 1 Pet. 3:3
3. the world, the universe
4. the circle of the earth, the earth
5. the inhabitants of the earth, men, the human family
6. the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ
7. world affairs, the aggregate of things earthly
   1. the whole circle of earthly goods, endowments riches, advantages, pleasures, etc, which although hollow and frail and fleeting, stir desire, seduce from God and are obstacles to the cause of Christ
8. any aggregate or general collection of particulars of any sort

Now not one of these definitions specifically say the world is "everyone without exception"

The closes to that meaning is # 5 the inhabitants of the earth, the human family.

However we know that by scripture some of the human family is not Loved by God, but in fact hated, for example scripture says Rom 9:13

¹³ As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

And these Two Individuals, are also represenative of two manner of People. Lets look at Gen 25:23

And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels

; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

There was to be Two Manner of People from Rachel. The word people means:

1. a people, nation,to gather; a community:—nation, people.
   
   Its a gathering of a people.
   
   Now the word world kosmos also means:
   
   
   
   1. any aggregate or general collection of particulars of any sort
      
      So any collection or gathering together of a particular people is a world.
      
      The prophecy of the gathering of the people by Shiloh, that People is a World Gen 49:10
      
      The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
      
      Now lets look at Rom 9:13 where we find that Jacob the individual is said to be Loved by God. Its the same God and Loved as in Jn 3:16. And as Jacob the individual person is Loved by God so is the People He represented from the womb Gen 25:23
      
      We also know from Rom 9 that Jacob is Elect Rom 9:11-13 So we have established by scripture that The World God Loved in Jn 3:16 is the World of His Elect, Chosen Jacobs, those who shall become Believers !

Jacob is a person / people Loved by God, however his brother esau is a person/people hated by God. Theres a prophecy that sheds light on this biblical concept other than Rom 9:13 and its Mal 1:1-4

John 1:29

Yes another scripture the religion of man has carelessly taught wrong about the word world.

This scripture doesnt say that the Lamb of God taketh away the sin of all mankind without exception, but of the world !

It was a spiritual and redemptive reason why the word world is used here by the jewish prophet John the Baptist. See Lambs throughout the Old Testament used for sacrifices had a typical meaning looking forward to Jesus Christ, the Seed of the Women who would come and die for the sins of His People Isa 53. Now during this Old economy the Lamb sacrifices were primarily for the jews in the physical nation of israel, the sacrifices had no message nor message or typical meaning in the gentile nations as the foreshadowed Christ and the Salvation He was to wrought !

However John the Baptist whether he knew it or not was announcing a reformation Heb 9:10

Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

The propitiating sacrifices foreshadowing Christ had been limited unto the jewish nation, for the most part housed the Church, the Body of Christ, but now the Lamb of God, the Sacrifice He was to make , the benefits of it exceeded the boundaries of national israel, the jewish Church, but was an propitiating sacrifice for gentiles amongst other nations 1 Jn 2:2

² And he is the propitiation for our sins[A jewish remnant]: and not for ours only[jewish remnant], but also for the sins of the whole world[A Gentile Remnant].

The Samaritans said that Jesus was the savior of the world (John 4:42) not the Jews and Calvinists are shown to be wrong yet again. Jesus tasted death for every man.

There are several places in scripture where the world means or understood of only the elect or only believers, traditional religion of man has carelessly designated every reference to the word world, as it pertains to Salvation, to denote all without exception, to include the saved and the permanently lost and damned, but that is a grave error.

John 3:17 should be understood as the Elect only !

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Only Believers are saved through Christ, that's why they believe , He saved them from unbelief !

How does one get "in Him?"
