Try as I might, I cant see the passage where Jesus is preaching within either the flames or the Elysian Fields of this story.

I think Marhig had asked why you would think that Jesus was "preaching in hell."

Stop acting so dense. He is playing both sides; and, he gave scripture that proves we live on in the spirit. He just is doubtful.

Rossenritter denies the three exist at the same time. He is like EvilEye, modalists. Same beliefs but wants to not suffer the consequences of it here so they both pretend they are not.

If you read the passage from Peter more precisely, it does not say that Jesus was preaching. It says that his death and quickening by the spirit preached onto those rebellious spirits. Not "bible-thumping soul saving preaching" but where preach is used in its fuller form of "proclaimed." And yes, I would count those as rebellious angels.

Where do you see anyone speaking about applying the gospel to angels?

1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Don't you care if you tell the truth about anything? I gave scripture that plainly says Jesus did and I explained it thoroughly.
I thought you said that you have never called me a liar? And where, which post number have you explained it in? Maybe I missed it, but last thing I saw you say about it is that you wouldn't explain it to me, and something about me not having understanding!

Luke 16:23-26King James Version (KJV)

23*And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24*And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25*But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26*And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Hi, thanks, but why do those verses mean that Jesus preached in hell?

And do you know if that is something that mainstream churches teach, thank you.

@GT, this is what i asked,

I've always wondered why you believe that Jesus goes to hell to preach to those who are dead, what do you mean by this? Thanks

And this was your reply

I now know what it is to be glad that you do not understand. I do not want to help you to understand. There is a reason that God keeps it from you. I trust God and know that it is right.

I don't believe you are a Christian.

Revelation 22:11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy."
I take it that you mean that I'm the first one and you are the second one, yes?

Think what you want.
Luke 18

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

You can't hurt me with the scriptures, scriptures you do not understand. You do not even believe the Lord who explained such things is God.

Probably because in the Bible Christ Jesus says that the father is his father's and God!

You keep on judging me GT if you feel the need to, but God knows my heart, and thankfully, you are not my judge!

It isn't hell...it's hades. Hades was the place of the dead, as in Luke 16. Jesus went and announced the good news of His resurrection to Abraham, David, and all the believers from the OT. Man is more that just a body (which is put off at death), but none could go to Paradise or Heaven until Jesus had risen.
