ECT The Throne of David

The whole structure of the NT is to move on past what was there in Judaism: temples, worship, rituals, etc etc etc. They don't matter any more. They are shadow; Christ is reality. Yes, the early Luke songs mention the throne of David because it is 'new' in Christ in Acts 2:31. Why do quote one you 'like' (Luke) and not the other? (Acts)

Dan 9: the answer to the prayer for the restoration is that the nation will be ruined in the destruction of Jerusalem, but what Messiah does succeeds! (the mission).

You need to be eggecated in dialectic thinking, Jethrine.

Hmmphhh....

The bravo would be that it is fulfilled in Christ. Go back to the shortest summary of Acts 5:29+ and you'll see that Christ is exalted, is Prince, is Savior, is at the right hand (Ps 110), is dispensing forgiveness, and pouring out his Spirit to witness this even further.

You know nothing about what was supposed to happen or how. There are longer passages, but this one puts everything stated in the above OT and Lukan songs into fulfilled status, as was the intention of the apostles teaching.

They are exulting in the total fulfillment of these things even though the land (city and sanctuary) will get destroyed as Dan 9 said.

You are just favoring one verse and not another, and not the one in the context that matters most. So your view is pointless.

Except that I have the validation of the NT. Can't you tell that the comments on heb 8 in chs 9 and 10 have nothing to say about the land? That is what is pointless. The redemptive action of God is bursting out beyond that. There's nothing going to happen in Judea because there is not going to be a valid re-use of Judaism. there's not going to be a repeat of it because of 10:19, which turns into 20+ and all the instructions we are supposed to be following as Christian believers.

Which D'ists never sound like they have ever heard of.

Why on earth would anyone do the things exhorted in 10:19+ because Israel is going to be restored to its land? That is pusilaminity. You do them because of the sacrificed body of Christ and ALL believers are to do them. There are some specifics for 1st century Judeans (v34) but they carry on.

It hurts the brain to see what D'ism has done to the Bible; it is abuse.

An example of dialectic thinking:

Ain't it strange how Ange lost his southern accent when the episodes went to color?

Shore is, Sam. I'm still trying to figger out how Thel managed to afford a home, with no visible means of support, and Helen manage to afford a home, on a school teacher's salary-but Barn ended up at a boarding house. It's a mite curious, Mayor. And Howard lived with "mother?"

You'd think that a real writer and grammar scholar could spell "pusillanimity".

One would think that if a person was sincerely trying to communicate with his readers, he would choose a more generally understood term such as 'timid' or 'cowardly', etc.,.

Is this about trying to impress people concerning a claim to superior intellect or is it about discussions to arrive at truth?

Consider the pattern...

Who gets Andy's house after he dies?

Aunt Bee will be gone.

Leaving Opie.

Obviously, various characters in that town lived with their mom, or dad, whichever was the last to pass away.

At which point, they ended up with the house.

It's in their pattern.

Adult offspring who live with their parents tend to be spinsterly.

And those women are all spinsterly.

As in all things, in life, the obvious is often found in but a moment's reflection on...the things that differ:)

Rom. 5:8
Acts 17:11,12

Yes, he fits in nicely with the "theology proper" crowd in that regard.
