He's apparently one of those type who has OSAS very confused- thinking that it's impossible for him to be condemned because he was baptized or some such thing.

Perseverance of the Saints (TULIP) is the original OSAS, and it sits on the notion that a person was never saved in the first place if they become corrupt. Hence perseverance, and of course sovereignty.

God does not make the mistake of bestowing grace on someone who will resist it, according to Irresistible Grace (TULIP).

You can school those like ol' Pate with just the basics of Calvinism :thumb:

Those as yourself abuse a lot of notions- in this case, a person 'knowing' they are saved.

Here's the thing, hombre- there are a lot of people who 'knew' they were 'saved' up until they lost their faith. A lot of people 'know' they were saved even if they don't have one spiritual bone in their body.

The fact is, a person can 'know' they are the elect, but they don't really know- God says that the heart deceives, and only He understands it-- the elect are predestined, and you don't like it because those as yourself frankly don't hold much stock in God but rather what you can steal out of it all for yourself.
There's 'Christian', and then there's 'train hopper'. Why don't you go marinate on that for a while before you continue you put your rants back on repeat :wave2:

There is no salvation for anyone outside of Christ and his Gospel. You are trusting in your predestination that never happened. It is a false doctrine. God does NOTHING outside of his Son Jesus Christ. If you want to be saved you will have to come to Christ as a repentant sinner and ask him to save you. "Whosoever that shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13. If you are to proud to humble yourself and call on Christ to save you, maybe you deserve to go to hell.

The significance of Christ in heaven means that Jesus is the savior of the whole world, 1 John 2:2.

If Jesus is the savior of the whole world then no one needs to be predestinated and your Calvinist religion is a scam.

A person that teaches sinners Christ died for are going to perish in their sins anyways doesn't believe in Christ!

To deny that Jesus is the savior of the world is to deny that Jesus is Lord. To deny that Jesus is Lord means that you will die in your sins, John 8:24.
