Matthew 24:29-31 (NKJV)
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will
not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth
will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power
and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will
gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
Mark 13:24-27 (NKJV)
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see
the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send His angels, and
gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.”
Luke 21:25-28 (NKJV)
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations,
with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation
of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these
things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 (NKJV)
“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until
the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself
will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NKJV)
“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we all shall be changed—
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Revelation 1:7 (NKJV)
“Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him.
And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”
IMO, the KEY is 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 where …
at the last trumpet: dead believers are raised, and living believers are changed.
Will the dead be raised twice? … No, they will only be raised once -- at the last trumpet.
