The plot of Job requires an unsettled future

I think you are right. The text states it as so. Job is always interesting as it is the one book that has nothing to do with the rest. But that is a tangent.

Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, each one came from his own place—Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. For they had made an appointment together to come and mourn with him, and to comfort him.

Meaning not the establishment of Israel, their fall, our salvation because of it and the restoration.
Full disclosure, I was watching Israeli Christians on Youtube and he said the book is salvation from Jesus. I had not thought of it that way either but I see his point. And upfront the point of the book was uttered by the devil himself. You know. You built a hedge around him. Does he worship you because you give him things or because you deserve it. Paraphrasing. And that is what I see in the book.
