Yes, but from the context we can see that Paul is speaking of the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob:
"But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?" (Ro.2:29;3:1-3).
It was the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who were given the oracles of God. So when Paul speaks of the Jew who has a circumcision of the heart he is speaking of a Jew who who is spiritual or a believer and also a physical descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And that description fits perfectly with the following people found in this prophecy:
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more" (Jer.31:31-34).
In this passage we can see that the "fathers" of both the house of Israel and the house of Judah are the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their "fathers" broke the LORD's covenant and it was the physical descendants of Jacob who did that. Since their fathers were the physical descendants of Jacob then they will be as well.
So these verses prove that sometime in the FUTURE all of the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be saved.
Now that I have answered your point in regard to Romans 2:29 then I will ask you to answer a question about what I wrote here:
In this passage we can see that the "fathers" of both the house of Israel and the house of Judah are the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their "fathers" broke the LORD's covenant and it was the physical descendants of Jacob who did that. Since their fathers were the physical descendants of Jacob then they will be as well.
Do you agree with what I said there and if your answer is "no" then tell me exactly what you think I said that is in error.
Thanks!
