I said
That was a cute thread. But I'm not here for cute. I'm here to demonstrate the Holy Spirit.
The sequence today is born again, milk, meat. Just as a baby is born, fed milk and matures to meat.
The Milk, Then The Meat, Then Born Again
Lies. One need to be born first as a New Born Babe to begin on Milk !
1 Pet 2:1-2
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
He calls them new born because of what he just wrote in 1 Pet 1:23
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
I can't believe our Falcons this year. I thought they would do great.
Beloved 57 has said the same as I do. You cannot grow as a until you are one.
The correct sequence is Born again, milk then meat.
You are conflating conviction of the Holy Spirit that brings us to Christ as milk.
We cannot even understand the things of God unless we are born again because they are "spiritually discerned"
1Cr 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Therefore a lost person can only accept what the Holy Spirit is showing , our lost condition and Jesus as the remedy. Then once saved, born, growth can occur and as changes mature the believer , more substantial truth is accepted.
The lost cannot even accept milk
And if our friend Beloved 57 can see that , that puts you, Squeaky , in rather lonesome territory.
right B57? just kidding
I can't believe our Falcons this year. I thought they would do great.
The Holy Spirit only shows us Jesus. Never glorifies Himself
1Cr 12:3
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit will convict us of our sin and need for Christ, Then after being born again we can grow with milk and mature to meat.
your allegory is feeding milf to the unborn so they can be born.
We give up our flesh when we are saved, born again
Read verse 24 in the correct sense from verse1
Gal 5:1
¶
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
He is talking about and to Christians in Chapter 5 so verse 24 is after being born again
I said
Not so. To be born again all things become new. Your a brand new creation when your in Christ. old things have passed (not going to pass, but have passed away). I thinking you dont know what born again means.
Gal 5:24
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
(NKJ)
2 Cor 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
(NKJ)
You ( a person)cannot defeat the flesh enough to be saved. That is just turning over a "new leaf" and entirely dependent upon your strentgh to subdue your old nature and have salvation.
A person being saved surrenders and relies on the Holy Spirit to lead.
I referenced the verse to which Gal 5:24 was given and they were already Christians not the lost doing something to be saved. In other words you took the verse out of context and misapplied it to the lost rather than the saved. Just because we are saved does not mean we are free from our old nature.
Always remember you were in the milk when you started in scripture.
You ( a person)cannot defeat the flesh enough to be saved. That is just turning over a "new leaf" and entirely dependent upon your strentgh to subdue your old nature and have salvation.
Only someone who was still "MILK" would feel the need to proclaim they weren't.
There isn't a soul who knows if they are milk or meat, only God knows. The more you cry you are the more we laugh.
I said
I dont think you understand. One has to be walking after the HOly Spirit to defeat the flesh with its emotions and feelings.
Gal 5:16-24
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If your alive your saved. So that you can work out your salvation. You do know that saved and salvation are different I hope.
SAVED (YOUR SAVED SO YOU CAN WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION)
Jude 1:3-5
3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
Heb 9:8-9
8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.
9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience--
Jude 1:5
5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
Phil 2:12
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
2 Cor 7:15-16
15 And his affections are greater for you as he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him.
16 Therefore I rejoice that I have confidence in you in everything.
Titus 2:11-13
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Heb 3:17-19
17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
(NKJ)
Rom 5:9
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
(NKJ)
Acts 2:40
40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation."
(NKJ)
SALVATION (BEING ACCEPTED)ETERNAL SAVED (PROTECTED WHILE YOU WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION)TEMPORARY
You misunderstand being alive is not salvation but the opportunity to decide.
You misunderstand that you can't have the Holy Spirit until your are born again.
You misunderstand "working out your salvation" .
It is not working toward salvation. These were already saved. It is understanding the great work God was doing and will do in them.
Salvation is not a process. It is an event.
