The Master well knew the difference between the possession of evil spirits and insanity, but the apostles did not. Neither was it possible, in view of their limited knowledge of the early history of Urantia, for Jesus to undertake to make this matter fully understandable. But he many times said to them, alluding to these evil spirits: “They shall no more molest men when I shall have ascended to my Father in heaven, and after I shall have poured out my spirit upon all flesh in those times when the kingdom will come in great power and spiritual glory.”

Neither can they at least engage in 'creative dialogue' for the sake of having an actual discussion (dynamic interchange), perhaps such an enterprise might be too adventurous or dangerous for them, since their own religious beliefs, opinions and assumptions may be challenged or compromised. As Albert Einstein recognized...."Imagination is more important than knowledge",....here a great mind understood the faculty of imagination in the pursuit of science, since the creative faculty of consciousness must be ever open to the inspiration and guidance of the infinite Spirit.
Concerning 'truth',....it is only relative as far as any individual perspective or point of view is concerned, since reality from one conditioned lens and mind operating within a certain dimensional field or context is being perceived at any given time in space. From a mortal finite perspective,...truth is always conditioned or modified thru the lens of perception, as the quality, scope and capacity of a 'lens' affects what is perceived.
With the wisdom and cosmic context of universal knowledge above, an approach to the UB must be had, and even it makes no claim of being a final or replete revelation, since revelation is progressive as long as creation evolves and advances, unfolding its potentials to infinity.

Thanks, great quotes! Jesus was Liberal and big hearted, his followers were open minded people, not over indoctrinated by the religions of their day. In fact the "religious expert's" were so convinced of their interpretation of their scriptures that they literally could not understand Jesus' spiritual teachings.

Yes, and this is one of the primary themes of Jesus teachings within the UB, that religious groups and communities began to build more of a religion about Jesus, rather than promote and share the religion of Jesus (the religious life and spiritual practice that he lived and taught). I find the distinguishing between the two helpful, although a perfect harmony and appropriation of both could be had without diminishing the spiritual import and value of the teaching of Jesus itself, although some religious systems may shroud or distort such.
In the end, the ultimate aim and goal is in the living of kingdom principles and DOING the will of God. That is fundamental

NASA has covered up or shrouded some things relating to ET or UFO phenomena. At least some of the NASA scientists accept that it would be illogical and presumptuous to assume we are the only inhabited planet in the universe,...and that our local universe itself is but just one of millions out there. With the hundreds of new planets and some habitable planets we are discovering with the Kepler space telescope, and maybe ever more with the upcoming more powerful James Webb space telescope to be launched in 2018, we're heading towards new frontiers in space, ...I think that's awesome!

At least some of the NASA scientists accept that it would be illogical and presumptuous to assume we are the only inhabited planet in the universe,...and that our local universe itself is but just one of millions out there. With the hundreds of new planets and some habitable planets we are discovering with the Kepler space telescope, and maybe ever more with the upcoming more powerful James Webb space telescope to be launched in 2018, we're heading towards new frontiers in space, ...I think that's awesome!
