The explicitly Biblical evidence for the Flood: Rainbows

We are told in Scripture that rainbows first appeared after the Flood.

We are not told in Scripture that it ever rained before the Flood.

Flood deniers teach that in order for there not to have been rainbows, there could not have been rain:

There is proof of the flood. An eye witness account found at Luke 17:26-27 from a man named Jesus, The Messiah. Those saying it did not occur are calling Gods son a liar.

Rainbow "in the clouds."
Both rainbows and clouds first appeared after the Flood was done then. I don't want to get too much into the waters above and below the firmament in Genesis one, but the first time the [word] cloud appears in Scripture it is right after the Flood was done, like you said.

Clouds and rainbows are evidence of the global Flood.

If someone doesn't accept the Bible as authoritative rainbows will not be accepted as proof. It's too bad but conflicting beliefs mean conflicting views of evidence.

To be fair, the inferences about antediluvian atmospheric conditions are mostly speculation.

There are a few Biblical certainties regarding the time.

And I think the canopy idea is poisoning the discussion a bit.

For this thread, that doesn't matter. We're just talking about the evidence.

Yes it does. The same problem happens in jury trials in law courts. The justice system is able to deal with the problem and conclude cases with verdicts all the time in spite of it. How do they do it? Because otherwise we'd never get verdicts, and trials would never end.

Genesis 2:5 (KJB) said it didn't rain, and the next time the word rain appears is when God says He's going to destroy the World with the Flood Genesis 7:4 (KJB).

The atheists already testified that no rainbows means no rain, and the Scripture seems to comport with the idea, so now the only thing is, does no rain mean no clouds? Would a cloud in the sky be a surprising thing for the antediluvians? Just all blue skies every day was their lot, was it?

That's interesting.

A jury trial on criminal matters is not a discussion about religion and that's where your analogy falls apart. Look at the issue of evolution. A true believer in evolution will never, or only very rarely. be convinced by the opposing point of view to change their mind.
