The disappearing "pope"

The Romanists here claim that Peter was the first "pope". That he was the most important person on earth after Jesus ascended into the cloud from the Mount of Olives...

And yet, Peter disappears from the book of Acts after chapter 15. Here are some of the facts:

• Peter was NOT presiding over the church in Jerusalem during the meeting documented in Acts 15.
  James was in charge (Acts 15:13 & 15:19).
• Luke, the writer of both the book of Luke and the book of Acts, was following Peter and the twelve up until this time...
  After that time, Luke began to follow Paul and those with Paul (note the pronoun changes in Acts 16).
• From that point on, Peter (aka Simeon) is absent from the entire rest of the book of Acts.
  Pretty strange for the "pope" to just disappear like that.
• Peter was one of twelve apostles chosen by Christ to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.
• Paul was the one apostle chosen by Christ to be the pattern for the body of Christ.

These are the facts and they are indisputable.
