The Democrats and the Abolition of Captilism

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said Tuesday that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez "represents the future of our party."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and the following speaks about that organization:

"Like most socialist organizations, DSA believes in the abolition of capitalism in favor of an economy run either by “the workers” or the state — though the exact specifics of “abolishing capitalism” are fiercely debated by socialists."​

According to the chief-spokesman of the Democrat party the future of their party is an abolition of captialism.

Next, the Dems will be pushing Communism as a better choice!

Any of you progressives want to support the Democrat party, a party whose future is the abolition of captialism?

Their socialism is something they have tried to deny in order to win elections. Now its all just out there in the open. The scary thing is that she actually won.

Democrats are no longer Americans. That Party is controlled by the fringe freak Left. The party of Kennedy and Truman is long dead.

I'm curious to know if there is anyone on this forum who actually wants to abolish captialism.

How does one abolish capitalism? That does even make any sense. I live in Silicon Valley which is a bastion of capitalism. All the innovations created here are driven by capitalism. It seems most hardcore socialists have no understanding of economic systems. They don't realize that smart phones, laptops, large screen TV, automobile, microwave oven, refrigerator, dish washing machine, vacuum cleaner, airplanes, etc. were created due to capitalism?

When will the spineless Republicans realize Donny is a just a snake oil salesman?

But is is so much easier to make the claim. Like all of Trumpy's claims without any basis in fact.
You are correct capitalism is here to stay. It makes the world go 'round. It is not perfect. In its heart is is not Christian. It needs to be tempered with a dash of humanity and concern for The Other.
Unfortunately it appears that this country's elites (read really really really Rich---ala Trump and ALL big political donors) benefit from recent Supreme Court cases, Citizens United, and Janus in particular, along with the concept of corporations being people, while the common man gets screwed. But the Super Elite, you know Donny of the White House, has certainly no compunction to screw those less "elite". Try being one of his sub contractors when he goes bankrupt or playing a round of golf at one of his courses.

You trying to paint all Democrats as the far left is like trying to paint all Republicans as Christian Dominionists.

I know it's hard to be on the losing team, but you folks should really get a grip. :)
