Not going to argue with you about this any longer, you're to far to the anti-gun side of the debate as well as this attitude of laying down your life and your families life so that this miss-understood individual can continue with his criminal activity, while being able to go make his friends laugh, love his family, dream of his future accomplishments but not giving his victims one iota of thought in return!
If we are to be more like you country (Britain) and remove weapons from our populace that will correct the problems as you see it, how is it Britain's police force still maintain weapons? Why are there still assaults and murders? What other instruments will Britain take from their citizens in order to prevent a criminal from being stopped?
Below I've provided a link that will give you examples of incidents that demonstrate the need to be ready and able to defend oneself. If you will read through these exerts you will find that most of the incidents show older people having to defend themselves from young criminals, women being assaulted by men, weaker being assaulted by stronger.

The National Rifleman's Association (NRA) is just the name of on organization that represents many people with similar interests (Competition Shooting, Hunting, Collecting, History, Constitutional Law, to name a few) and are willing to stand up for what they believe in and hold in common. The NRA is not trying to force anyone to do anything that they do not wish to do, only to maintain the right of their People to continue to enjoy all that our Constitutional Rights afford us, especially in an area that we have a common interest in, "The Freedom To Choose".

As long as strong men stand and defend their rights against those "Domestic, as well as Foreign" that wish to change our ways, this country will stand! When we bow down to the rule of either Domestic, Foreign or allegiances allowing outside influence to change our Constitution, we shall fall!
