story:
a man is a metals broker named Henry who buys and sells metals like lead, zinc, copper.
A company sells tons of aluminum ore to a smelting company in Alabama which extracts aluminum it needs to make pipe for electrical conduit.
In the melting process lead, zince... are also extracted. Since the Alabama company cannot use th byproducts, it re-sells it to other business3es.
but they can't afrord to pay an employee to dispose of the byproducts since it is ony a small quantity. that's where this Henry comes in: he brokers their waste for them. Henry helps consumers save money on goods they buy.
Without him the company in Alabama would be forced to either dump the byproduct or pay a 3rd party to haul off the slag. In the case of hazardous materials like lead... disposal can be expensive. In order to make a profit he buys from may different companies since some companies have too small an amount...
In other words, he doesn't make a huge profit.
He employs only 2 peple but provides jobs for at least 400 people in other businesses.
[I will have to continue this story later.. but it has to do with silly gov regulations and how they cause businesses to go OUT OF BUSINESS, which costs the little people JOBS]
