So much for the myth of the pure and noble "native American"

There were no borders then.

No? None?

See the included map:

Or how about this one:

Or this:

The colonies had borders since long before the Revolution. We fought a number of wars with Native Americans over their lands, don't you think that implies that they had a concept that some of them were theirs?

Borders used to be up for grabs to the strongest. International law was created later.

Granted, and it is good that we now recognize that it is wrong to just kill people and take their stuff. Does that mean the prior behavior was right? There was nothing past tense about glory-daze's comment.

Now, there are some who only want secure borders for non Europeans.

I don't think that's true on either side.

You know who hasn't gotten the message about borders? Vladamir Putin. And that understanding is only as strong as the international order guaranteeing it, which Putin is undermining constantly, now with Trump's help.

The discussion was about American Indians killing the whites when I made my comment. Don't talk about me if you are going to lie about what I said.

Well, lets see.

Every race has some who are superior and some who are inferior to others. That said, those who came and tried to cross the prairie had just as much right to the land as those who meandered around upon it. That's the way the world works.

Seems present tense to me. Feel free to clarify.

Sure, I'll do all the work for you. I was responding to this (thus the comment about the prairie) and then later the covered wagons.

Borders were not guaranteed. Just because there was a map, doesn't mean you had the land by law. A stronger force could change it.

It's not true????? Aren't you one that says let all come over with no vetting whatsoever?

Bigger army diplomacy. Works out well for you, as long as you have the bigger army. If that's your attitude, you pretty much can't complain about anything.

You say borders "were" not guaranteed. Does that imply you think they are now? And what guarantees them, now?
