Sleep

Most times, now I do not sleep more than three, or four hours in a single sleep. This does not mean I am sleep deprived because I fall to sleep an hour or so a few time every day now.Add up my daily sleep and it looks like much of my time is spent sleeping; as much as 10 hours each day is spent sleeping.

At one time, i used to work over ten hours a day, and sleep no more than five hours, now, as far as knowing what going on, I may be the awake a few hours in the morning, while I am blank most afternoons, and a little more awake in evenings, into the night, until I fall to sleep those three to four hours.

Anyone here have unusual sleeping patterns? Any old people with odd sleep patterns. Anyone have odd sleep patterns and yet have no concern about it?

No worries, it seems I am becoming more like a cat; they do not sleep long in one stretch, yet sleep a lot

great topic
I am old and retired
I have sleeping problems
but
I don't really worry about it
I go to bed very early and read
which
puts me to sleep
but
I am up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom
I normally stay up and watch tv
I will go back to bed
if
I feel sleepy
why worry about it?
if
you have no schedule to keep
the last thing you want to do is take pills for it
just go to bed when you are sleepy
no matter what time it is

I like the ending here, how true, they gave me pills to regulate my sleep, but now I do without those little pests. I do take a stimulant to be active enough to drive my car, other wise I may be asleep at the wheel.

It too did not know who were a soiree, I stopped showing my age after 69.

Je ne savait pas non plus qui étaient un senior, j'ai cessé de montrer mon âge après 69 ans.

senior or soiree?

coffee is all you need in the morning
and
that is when you should be doing any driving you have to do

Well to the general public that may well be true. For me being I have terminal illness and the idea is keeping out of a nursing home, believe me, what I take is no more powerful the a few cups of strong coffee, yet that, as a substitute would be disastrous. It would cause me to have a narcoleptic fit. I have years of medical intervention with some of the best physicians in several states, and it is well agreed upon that my mind-brain does not deliver enough dopamine to my cerebellar cortex to make me aware of the quick movements in traffic, and given this treatment, which works to a degree, I cannot drive in city traffic; however I manage to getting to my neighbourhood supermarket.

sounds like you shouldn't be driving at all
and
you need someone to decide that for you

I have and can make the decisions within the law. In this light, I am able to drive because I use the law and my own legal and medical understanding to ascertain where ai can drive and to what degree. Then should my impairment worsen, I would have to make other arrangements paid by state and national heath care costs, as they impact on these little, yet more so, considering few can make such decisions accurately.

This accounts for the high number of dead hedgehogs in country roads....:)

I do drive alright in the country, but if I hit anything, it may be Armadillos, I do not see many hedgehogs here?
