Maybe you missed this part:Lighthouse said:I'm not a homosexual. Dee Dee Dee.
However, I have committed adultery, and I deserve execution for that. So, yes, I judge myself by the same standard. And even though I have repented, and God has forgiven me, and even she and her husband have forgiven me, that doesn't change the fact that according to God's standard I deserve execution.
It doesn't say that you should judge yourself by the standard you judge others, it says that God will judge you by the standard you judge others. That is the expanded description of why you are commanded not to judge others.Matthew 7:1-3
1"Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
2"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
The point is that you have been commanded not to judge the person. You can evaluate his actions in order to determine how to approach him about his salvation, but judgement belongs to God. Governments have been established to judge his crimes, but that also is not delegated to you. Your job, as a Christian, is to bring him to God. If you hate him; if you wish him dead, then you will fail to obey your command.v1 1"Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
Look at Jonah. He hated the Ninevites and refused to go to them as he was commanded. Just how well did that go for him? You are not just told to go to them, you are commanded to love them.Matthew 28:18-20
18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
I've included a bit more than just the one verse because this passage covers far more than just your viewpoint on homosexuals, it gets into all of your hatred and even your viewpoint of the poor. You can't hate them and fulfill the commanments of God. You can't just ignore them and fulfill the commandments of God. You must embrace them and give of yourself to them in order to do what God commands.Matthew 5:38-48
38"You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.'
39"But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
40"If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.
41"Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.
42"Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.
43"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.'
44"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46"For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47"If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
48"Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
