Just tell him to read Romans - Philemon 10X.
How about Rom 9:24...'us...as He says in Hosea'

:rotfl:D'ists always go quiet at the ordinary meaning of the Bible.

No, we do not ... you clueless one.
The 9th chapter of Romans is about the failure of Israel and Paul's desire to see them saved. It's funny that you disagree with most of the things Paul quotes in that chapter, but then you cling to your false understanding of ONE of the quotes.
Paul goes on in chapters 10 and 11 to explain this and that God has NOT cast away His people and that they will be restored. Another thing that you reject.
You're a big-time hypocrite with your selective accept of Paul's quoting of the prophets of Israel.
Rom 11:11-12 (AKJV/PCE)(11:11) I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but [rather] through their fall salvation [is come] unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. (11:12) Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
HOW MUCH MORE THEIR FULLNESS? Something that is well beyond your comprehension.
Rom 11:15 (AKJV/PCE)(11:15) For if the casting away of them [be] the reconciling of the world, what [shall] the receiving [of them be], but life from the dead?
What shall the receiving of them be, BUT LIFE FROM THE DEATH? Again, you're clueless.
You're a one verse wonder that ignores the rest of scripture. The ordinary meaning of 9:24 is that "we" is Jews and Gentiles believers, as expected by the 4 OT quotes. What you're saying is circuitous, torturous, arcane , and cliquish.
