No need for the colors and lighting effects, just try to say something. So now, when the atonement has clearly been made, the problem is the enemies under his feet (or lack of). That's the thing about literalism, it always has something else to divert to...


I suppose there is some great symbolism you are going to explain now, how when the priest comes out the 2nd time, a war is over and enemies of Israel were magically stopped at that moment or something. Needless to say, it's a little bit forced and ridiculous.

Actually it fits perfectly with the ENTIRE Bible.

RD, this question started with: where is the atonement fulfilled? It is now proof texts about the enemies of Christ being under his feet, with no connection on these passages you just quoted to the atonement. Do you wonder why I find you irrational?

I think what you are doing is thinking the enemies under his feet are Israel's enemies in a geopolitical situation yet to be played out. They are not. It is the whole unbelieving world, however, there was a substantial victory you seemed to have missed found in Eph 4 about 'captivity captive and in Col 2:15's taking all power and authority captive in a processional.

I'm so sorry for you, you'll have to read the whole chapters to appreciate it! I know that's a burden you nor your forefathers could bear, but give it spin, OK?

But whatever victory that was, Hebrews still says we don't see all things subjected to him as they will be in the NHNE, because his enemies simply will not be there.

I didn't see you mention the atonement in the OP.

I'm pointing out that YOUR version of the book to the HEBREWS does not match reality.

I didn't miss a thing. But I know that Christ's kingdom (the one He preached about in Matt 6, for example) will be on the earth and not some mystical "spiritual" kingdom.

It truly seems like one of those passages where theology systems need to keep their hands off. The real interp is what happened as the days went by.
