Nuclear First Strike Against America.
Normally when people talk and act crazy, it is because they are. But what If Mr. Kim is just ill advised?
He seems to think that other nations will jump in to help defeat America. If other nations have convinced Kim of that, then maybe he would attempt a first strike.
So the question here is, is he: Crazy, or, ill advised?
“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”
— Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
North Korea's behavior is horrible, but completely logical. Everybody is afraid to attack them, especially now that they have nuclear capabilities.
Who was going to attack them for the past fifty years?
And as far as being afraid of attacking them, remember the last guy to mouth off about stockpiling WMDs?
The same countries who all worried today could have taken care of the problem much easier long ago. US. Japan. South Korea.
Saddam Hussein wasn't insane either. It was a fair gamble that the US would not do anything. The NOrth Koreans have been playing this game for a long time, and nobody has stopped them. Likewise for Iran
