Hillary should have been tried years ago. If she is innocent let it be determined in court like all other criminal offences or allegations are. It should not have dragged on this long and gotten mixed into the election cycle.
The private email server only came to light fairly recently, and required a significant investigation. But the Justice Department is only supposed to bring charges when it's likely to result in a conviction that survives on appeal, so it's a relatively high bar. And even if they had, and Clinton was acquitted, or the case was tossed by a judge, you know as well as I do that a bunch of people would still call her a criminal for political reasons.
