Shortly after that Jesus breathed His last. Jesus may have felt death coming and out of contact with God. Jesus' sacrifice took on the sins of believers. As Jesus' sacrfice cleansed the sins of believers He may have felt separated from God Father who cannot stand sin.

Yes but Jesus death cleansed the sins of chosen unbelievers who for that cause become believers. When Christ died for the elect, they were unbelievers at one time, they believe because Christ died for them. If a person never believes its because they were not one of the Sheep Christ died for Jn 10:26
²⁶ But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
