The NRA is Americans who believe the RKBA is a modern civil right. We're 50-60% of the population. We're not all members of the NRA, but we do share many values. The gun industry doesn't need the NRA to sell guns. In fact President Obama was the greatest gun salesman and promoter that we've ever seen; when he got elected there was a gun and ammo shortage that took years to fully recover from.

So we need to be more wary of fanatics from other countries than of our fellow Americans.

Apparently, the vetting works pretty well; the FBI has shown that you are far more likely to be taken out by an American-born terrorist than by an immigrant.
