I heard on the radio of a young boy who was asked by his mother what he had to eat at his new school. He told her he’d eaten white broccoli and custard. His mother explained there was no such thing as white broccoli, but the young lad was insistent and even asked his mother to cook him the dish. He also commented it was the nicest custard he’d ever had.
The following day having dropped him off at school she inquired of a staff member about the white broccoli and custard. The staff member could barely keep a straight face when she informed the mother they had served cauliflower and cheese sauce.
