IF you don't believe that state should have any part of or responsibility in a person's marriage, then why participate in marriage at all?

I'm such a sucker. I never claim I use my TOL time wisely at every turn and I feel like I'm being overly indulgent of my time today, but whatever....

Here I go.

Being one flesh is marriage.

Adultery is coveting/taking what doesn't belong to you.

I gave the Bible verse that addresses adultery. Apparently you disagree.

Disagree with what? I disagree that the state says when two are one or one flesh is put asunder.

Don't commit adultery. Period. Marriage is over when God puts asunder what was joined, not when man puts asunder.

Adultery is betraying the agreements two made before God when becoming one.

It's over. In both of your eyes and God's, right? Then it's over.

Man
does not do the putting asunder.

Apparently, though, it is not over to the extent that he can be covered under her insurance policy?
Do you get to have your cake and eat it too in lalaland?

You disagree with the Bible ... which is what gave you. So noted.

Show me where the Bible says marriage and the agreements thereof are regulated by the systems of man?

Or that according to man's system his considerations even qualify as adultery?

.....

Since you are the sane unbeliever on the thread:

Would a commonsense unbeliever in the real world consider his idea of future courtship adultery?
