Wrong.
Just as in the Exodus God's wrath put the generation to death (not man's wrath) Isaiah points out that God will again pour out His wrath and clean out the faithless from the Remnant of Israel.
Yes yes, we love to see God beating on them Jews, everyone else gets the gospel, God pours out the Spirit of supplication, they are saved and sanctified through the blood.
But the Jews who invented these things [God revealed it to the whole world through them] they need to be beaten and dispossessed, starved and poked into cattle trucks and carted off to death camp where they must strip naked, men women and children together to be shoved into the gas chambers.
You think this is God's will?
Oh WOE to this world for these things, alas for the church which remained silent, and to this day has not rather turned and comforted these people.
God said COMFORT YE, Comfort ye my people.
Israel will not be any friend to the church in the time of her agony. The tribulation is the birth pangs of the church to give birth to born again Israel.
THAT is what Jeremiah said about the great tribulation, he said it is not the man who travails in childbirth it is the woman. And YOU say what you like, God's word concerning Israel and the great trib is that they shall lie down in comfort and NONE shall make them afraid.
