He passed recently as most know. His off field might be as bad as OJ Simpson, but I wasn't there. You can't say there will never be another like him. Bo Jackson was very much like him, they both dominated everything they did. And Bo was cut short, so maybe that is the difference.
Did you ever see the clip where Jackson is in the batter's box (this is when he was playing for KC), he turns to ask the umpire for timeout, the ump declines, and meanwhile the pitcher's pitching the ball; Jackson turns around to see the pitch suddenly coming, and he hits it out of the park? lol. You wouldn't believe it if it was in a movie. You'd be like, "no way." That's the kind of athlete Bo Jackson was.
And him being cut short like that definitely changed everything. He was a generational talent and we haven't seen someone like him since. And
OH was he fast! He was big (muscular), explosive, strong, fast, coordinated, he was just amazing. He could have done anything.
