I had to throw together a repast the other day, no time for anything from scratch. So I took two bags of Birdseye Asian vegetables, one box of linguine noodles, two cans of chicken breast meat and made do.
I cooked the vegetables while I boiled the pasta, threaded the chicken and sauteed it in butter, olive oil, salt and pepper and a sprinkling of Parmesan, then mixed it all together and poured the whole over the linguine. Served it with a dark green salad mix with cherry tomatoes and real bacon bits (that I had time to make). The whole thing took about twenty five minutes top to bottom.
It wasn't scratch, but it was darn good even so.
