David Cloud of O Timothy writes,

Does a pastor have the biblical authority to do what this pastor attempted to do? (Cloud refused)

As a shepherd to his flock IMO he has the responsibility to show his members how they can survive on their own against all attempts of the devil.

Unfortunately there is too much of pot meet kettle here when the doctrinal paths of what commonly understood to mirror 1st Baptist theology when compared to another missing the mark denominational teaching

That being said there is one "1st Baptist Orlando" (pretty sure that is the name) appearing on "good life 45" whose pastor stands above the rest of them and does present some relevant sermons helpful to many......... unfortunately there are other "baptist pastors" from the same area taking up different TV time slots on the same channel that are not worth watching

the pastor should take the initiative to deal with this issue directly with the members. Ultimately the Holy Spirit guides all willing to Truth, The word of God is to be discussed together and everyone is at a different point in their faith and a genuine repentant heart will be guided to truth. Pastor should speak with members and explain to them his issue with Cloud while backing his position up with scripture. The members must allow the Spirit to guide them, since this alone brings TRUTH.

The Bible is clear on this.

They are not my words, they are the words of God.

Mat 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
Luk 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

All things are ours whether Paul or Cephas or Apollos and nobody is Lord over our faith but Christ only.

We must stand firm in the liberty with which we are set free, it is the more important principle here.

Many a priestling banned his congregation from reading Luther, and many of Luther's books were burned.

Those days are gone in the church.

Again, we submit to the authority of the elders but what is our responsibility ? We honor their authority when it does not violate the law of Christ

Many a priester has asked things beyond what is written. To these we must not adhere
