Far more so for a large beast. Their body heat would allow continued digestion.
To be sure it takes longer to freeze an animal the bigger it gets, but in this case it is more than offset by the much less aggressive digestion process. Dr Austin explains this.

Not the one that divided the waters.
Genesis 1 says it is.

You believe that there are waters above the sun and stars?
I believe Genesis 1.

Gen 1:14-19 (AKJV/PCE)
(1:14) ¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: (1:15) And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. (1:16) And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also. (1:17) And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, (1:18) And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that [it was] good. (1:19) And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Right, the firmament that divided the waters has sun, moon, and stars in it.

No, there is not "water" above "the firmament of the heaven".

The firmament that divided the water is NOT the firmament of the heaven. No matter how hard you push that idea.
There is only 1 firmament created in Genesis 1 no matter how hard you deny it.

No, it does not.
I believe Genesis 1.
I believe it even more than you do.
Right, the firmament that divided the waters has sun, moon, and stars in it.
So you really do believe that there is water "above the sun, moon and stars". 🤪
There is only 1 firmament created in Genesis 1 no matter how hard you deny it.
Nope... there are two. The earth and the heavens.

Genesis 1 only has 1 firmament created, and it is called Heaven.

Then why did Moses not just use "firmament" throughout the entire chapter? Instead, he used "firmament" the first five times, and then "firmament of the heavens" the last four times.

And he even made more of a distinction by using them ONLY on two separate occasions, the "firmament" he only used for day 2 and part of day 3, and "firmament of the heavens" he only used for day 4.

It's like talking about an elephant and it's "trunk," and then switching to talking about "the trunk of the car" you used to go see that elephant.

Moses described God making a "firmament," and earth and seas, and calling it heaven, and then he described God putting stars, and the sun and the moon, in the "firmament of the heavens." How much more explicit should he have been that they were two separate things?

Genesis 1 says it is.

Saying it doesn't make it so.

I believe Genesis 1.

So do we.

Right, the firmament that divided the waters has sun, moon, and stars in it.

Nope. The firmament that divided the waters was named Heaven, then the dry portion of it was called earth, and the waters on top of it were called seas.

The sun, moon, and stars are in the firmament of the heavens, not in the crust of the earth.

There is only 1 firmament created in Genesis 1 no matter how hard you deny it.

There are two firmaments created in Genesis 1 no matter how hard you deny it.

The sun, moon, stars are in firmament/expanse/heavens that verse 8 calls "Heaven".
That is the one and only created firmament in Genesis 1; there is no other firmament created in Genesis 1.

Wrong. They are in "the firmament of the heavens." Not "the firmament called heaven"

Yes, we agree. BECAUSE:

Space didn't need to be created, because there was nothing there to begin with! Then God put lights in the firmament of the heavens, firmly, figuratively, setting them in the sky.

You keep ignoring the fact that on day 2, and partly on day 3, God was creating and preparing the foundation for what he would make in the later portion of day 3. He didn't do anything in the sky, in space, until day 4.

Remember, on day 1, the earth was formless and void, the only thing on it was water. There are TWO "waters" in verse 2. What God created on day 2 was in the midst of those waters, below the waters, and above the deep.

Notice:

The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. . . . Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. - Genesis 1:2,6-7 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis1:2,6-7&version=NKJV

Moses, the brilliant author that he was, starts verse two with the earth, then he mentions the deep, then He jumps up above to where God is, and goes DOWN, to the waters.

Verse 2, looks like this, with the following colors representing layers, from the top down:

The Spirit of God
The waters (which would later be above the firmament)
The Deep (which would later be below the firmament)
The earth, particularly the mantle and everything below it

By the end of day 2, the earth looked like this:

The Spirit of God
The waters above the firmament
The firmament called Heaven
The waters below the firmament (AKA the deep)
The earth, particularly the mantle and everything below it

Peter describes what the earth looked like by the end of day 3:

For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. - 2 Peter 3:5-6 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Peter3:5-6&version=NKJV

Both of the "waters" from verse two remained on the earth, were divided sharply by the firmament, which God called Heaven, and then when it settled, and dry land appeared (by God's hand), He called the dry portion "Earth" and the bodies of water that formed "Seas."

David writes about this in Psalm 33:

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses. - Psalm 33:6-7 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm33:6-7&version=NKJV

From the top down:
1. The heavens here referring to the sky, and space, containing the stars and sun and moon.
2. The waters of the sea He gathered together refers to the waters above the firmament.
3. The deep he laid up in storehouses is referring to, of course, the deep, the waters below the firmament.

Both 1 and 2 tie into Genesis 1:9:

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. - Genesis 1:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis1:9&version=NKJV

Then God said, “Let [2] under [1] be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. - Genesis 1:9

And verse 10:

And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. - Genesis 1:10 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis1:10&version=NKJV

And God called the dry land Earth, and [2] He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. - Genesis 1:10

No, it's right.
The firmament called "Heaven" is the only firmament God created in Genesis 1.
Genesis 1 does not have God creating a second firmament.

You are, because you cannot show that Genesis 1 says God created another firmament.
God created 1 firmament and He named it Heaven.
And the other firmament is named the firmament OF THE HEAVENS.
That is NOT the same no matter how hard you try to force it to be.

Getting back to what the Bible says IF you were correct. Then there is ONLY water under the crust and above the stars. There was no water on the surface of the earth. 😵💫

Why you cannot see how wrong that is... who knows.

Bull.
That is just you reading into what I say.
Genesis 1 says the waters below were gathered together and called seas and dry land appears, so you have dry and seas side by side.
But that's just the waters below.
Nothing is said about the waters above being gathered together.

The waters were divided by the firmament in Gen 1:6
This means that there was water above and below this firmament... simple enough so far, right?

Then...
Gen 1:14 (AKJV/PCE)
(1:14) ¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

So, according to your theory that this is the SAME firmament, then there is water ABOVE the firmament of the heavens, which is above the STARS. Sorry, but that is crazy and unbiblical.

Yep.
The one firmament/expanse that God created and called HEAVEN.
He didn't call it earth, or crust, or land because it wasn't earth, or crust, or land.
And He tells us what He put in the firmament (HEAVEN) ----- sun, moon, stars.
And He tells man to have dominion over the fish that live in sea, the critters that live on land, and the birds that live in HEAVEN.

HEAVEN ---- the same Hebrew word used for verses 1, 8, 9, 14, 15, 17, 20.
In none of those verses can it be said to be referring to land of the earth.

It is most definitely biblical.
Just as biblical as the virgin birth, the sun standing still for a day, sticks turning into serpents, and several other biblical events. (none of which are going to make any sense using a scientific mindset)

This "one firmament" is called heaven... it's not the "firmament OF THE HEAVENS".
He didn't call it earth, or crust, or land because it wasn't earth, or crust, or land.
But it was the crust... water above it and water below it. THIS firmament divided the waters that were on the surface of the EARTH. Water above the crust (seas) and water below the crust (fountains of the deep).
And He tells us what He put in the firmament (HEAVEN) ----- sun, moon, stars.
Nope... He put those in the firmament OF THE HEAVENS. There is NOT water "above the sun, moon and stars".

Yes, some of them DO. Anywhere that you see JUST firmament and not firmament OF THE HEAVENS.
