The facts of the matter are that an armed rebellion with Russian support has taken over land belonging to Ukraine. No propaganda needed to determine what's happening here. There is nothing unusual about a country defending its territorial integrity and cracking down on rebellion, especially when it is fueled by foreign influences (Russia). We aren't talking about an armed rebellion against a dictatorship, but a peaceful democracy.

The facts of the matter are that an armed rebellion with Russian support has taken over land belonging to Ukraine AFTER an elected government and President were OVERTHROWN in a coup which an armed rebellion with US and UK support took over an entire nation (includes said land). The difference is only the former president didn't fight back as this president has done. Quite simple.
Maybe you didn't watch the videos of the protests.

Are you aware that Ukraine's parliament voted the president _out_ of office? That is not a coup. Ukraine's military did not march on Parliament and remove the President from power.
Protests are a function of democracy. The people were sick and tired of Russia stepping in and telling the country what it may or may not do, and wanted the Russian stooge out (who is now wanted on corruption and embezzlement charges).

The Russians in East Ukraine want to be in Russia, not Ukraine. You got a problem with that or is real estate so darned important it's worth causing another war over it? Is it really that big of a deal if that real estate and the Russians on it are under the Russian government that they want to be under and not the Ukrainian government? You priorities are messed up.

They were referred to as "freedom fighters" back in the 1980's as long as they were killing nasty Russians - but once they succeeded and turned those same weapons on Americans, they suddenly became "terrorists."
American foreign policy has become one continuous cycle of trying to undo the messes created by those "quick fixes" made by previous Administrations decades earlier.
