If You Don't Like a Scripture, Change It!
That is what one is doing when they read Gen 1:27 and say Gen 2:7 is speaking of the same account.
cre·ate
krēˈāt/
verb
bring (something) into existence
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
form
fôrm/
verb
make or fashion into a certain shape or form
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Some of the differences in the two scriptures are:
Gen 1 - God Created man, male and female.
Gen 2 - God formed man, male only.
Gen 1 - No mention of breath of life
Gen 2 - God breathed into his nostrils breath of life. One can relate that to the Holy Ghost and eternal life.
To me the above is information and does not support evolution. It is not a salvation issue, just something we should accept because God can not lie and he is not the author of confusion.
