If You Don't Like a Scripture, Change It!

That is what one is doing when they read Gen 1:27 and say Gen 2:7 is speaking of the same account.

cre·ate
krēˈāt/
verb
bring (something) into existence
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

form
fôrm/
verb
make or fashion into a certain shape or form
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Some of the differences in the two scriptures are:

Gen 1 - God Created man, male and female.

Gen 2 - God formed man, male only.

Gen 1 - No mention of breath of life

Gen 2 - God breathed into his nostrils breath of life. One can relate that to the Holy Ghost and eternal life.

To me the above is information and does not support evolution. It is not a salvation issue, just something we should accept because God can not lie and he is not the author of confusion.

Good observations, it is because the first chapter of Genesis contains prophecy, (Matthew 11:13), which was not fully accomplished and enacted until the six yamim at Golgotha, (when the Master said, "It is finished"). :)

But it's not all finished - Revelation 10:7 KJV -

God makes it clear that there were three processes by which God produced man.

Isaiah 43:7

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

The first man was formed, and made and created.

Genesis 1:27 speaks of the created part which was created in God's image which is spirit, John 4:24

Genesis 2:7 speaks of the formed part of man which was formed from the dust of the ground.

The third part that remains is the soul which God made from the soul that already existed when He create it for animals. Genesis 1:20-21

Genesis 2:7 simply gives more details of God's actions to produce man.

Only your half of the coin is not yet complete: finish your half of the stadion-racetrack.
If you heard the call then you heard it in the same day as all, (John 7:37-39 YLT).
That is the only day the call was ever given, (this requires a change in mindset).

Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Gen 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Where was God looking at for an help meet for Adam? From the females that were created in Gen 1, not from the creatures of the field.
Adam gave names to all cattle, fowl and every beast of the field. These were domesticated creatures not those of the wild in Gen 1.

Which Adam was the first anthropos-man Adam according to Paul?
Believe Paul, that the first man Adam is formed in Gen 2:7.
That means the one from the heavens is Gen 1:26-27.

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Yep, so that means the FIRST man Adam was formed in Gen 2:7, (not Gen 1:26-27).
And as you rightly suggested, in the OP, the Man from Gen 1:26-27 was not formed.

Shalom.

Is it a living soul or a living being?

Shalom.

1 Corinthians 15:42-47 ASV
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45 So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46 Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual.
47 The
first man is of the earth, earthy: [Gen 2:7] the second man is of heaven [Gen 1:26-27].
