“Behold, the days are coming,” declares YHWH,
“When I will raise up for David a Righteous BRANCH;
And He will reign as King and act wisely
And do justice and righteousness in the Earth.
Jeremiah 23:5
A shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse,
And a BRANCH from his roots will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him,
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,
And He will not judge by what His eyes see,
Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;
But with righteousness He will judge the poor,
And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth;
And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins,
And faithfulness the belt about His waist.
Isaiah 11:1-5
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,
And sorry- the king's name does not mean that the king is God . It is common in Hebrew names to include God's name as part of the person's name.
"The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
And He will delight in the fear of the LORD"
oops, looks like you overlooked the second Tanakh section quoted:
He shall sit and rule upon HIS Throne;
and He shall be a Priest upon HIS Throne - Zechariah 6:12
co·nun·drum = a confusing and difficult problem to solve :sherlock:
Nothing mysterious here. You are just misinterpreting the pronouns in the verse. A knowledge of Hebrew would help.
And sorry- the king's name does not mean that the king is God. It is common in Hebrew names to include God's name as part of the person's name.
You mean like this:
For the kingdom is the LORD’S [YHWH]
And He reigns over the nations.
Psalm 22:28
Actually, I was thinking of my grandson, Aviad- "everlasting father". He is a very cute 3 year old, but he's not God.
Sounds deep, but isn't relevant.Only a "little god" writes a "little book" with superficial meaning.
What is your motivation in posting all these threads? Do expect to convince someone?
In that day the BRANCH of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the adornment of the survivors of Israel. It will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded for (book of) life in Jerusalem. When 'Adonay has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning,
then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain.
sounds like the "cloud" that protected Israel in the Wilderness... :sherlock:
Isaiah 4:2-6
I was wondering the same thing? Where is the dialogue, which introduces the topic at hand and explains the intent of the thread? huh?Sounds deep, but isn't relevant.
Mr. Beam Me U:
What is your motivation in posting all these threads? Do expect to convince someone? (Hint: hardly anyone is paying attention) Or are you unsure of your own beliefs, so you keep trying to strengthen it by posting various verses that you think will do that?
It's like asking a blind person did you see that?
