It is a legislative act, so no. It was introduced a week ago. It isn't like that agency surrendered control willingly. I think this is called the "hearing protection act", or something similar.

I think prices will drop. I think Obama will veto and Congress has the votes to override the veto.

The hard part was getting things out of the committees where politicians like John Boehner and Barack Obama keep things from coming to a vote.

Sig has an AR variant and it is PDS. Leave it to Sig to reinvent the wheel. I don't doubt it will perform flawless. One of the things I like about the AR is the fast follow up shot and very limited recoil. You don't get it with this design. The bolt carrier group hangs from the recoil spring. In an AR, the buffer is big and behind the bolt absorbing the energy. Nice weapon.

I wish we lived in a world that didn't require us to arm ourselves for self defence. It's just an idealistic idea. I support your right to own firearms and I understand the need to do so.

Excellent. We don't live in the first part. When we do, a sharp sword comes out of the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ. And when the heathen causes harm, they are punished without our swords. He said "let their be light" and it was so. He will say drop dead and birds eat their flesh, and it will be so.

Until then, I keep a lot of 45 ACP and 6.8 SPCII in the house. And a back up contingent of Soviet surplus 7.62 x 39.

The M855A1 is the DoD designation for the current combat load of US forces. The round before it the M855 will often be called the "green tip". It has a steel penetrator. The original round is the M193, which is a traditional lead round with full metal copper jacket. The M193, aka 5.56mm in 55gr is still extremely effective against soft targets when fired from a 20" barrel. But who uses a full size battle rifle?
