Yeah, I've read it, and several other Dicken's books too, but it's been a few years back. He was a very good story teller. I like his books.

What do you make of Mr Jaggers?

He is worse than scrooge was in my opinion.

To me Jaggers was just what he was, a lawyer, at least in my experience with lawyers. He did the minumum he had to according to his contract, and got as much for himself out of the situation as he could. He was also a man of his time, meaning that he had all the prejudices of his class at that time. Being a lawyer at that time gave him even more power than a lawyer has today for the overall education of the common man was far less than today.
