ECT God does not ask. God commands.

From the beginning of creation, God has commanded mankind to believe His Word. That command has never been rescinded. All men are responsible and held accountable to obey God's command.

Of course, we all know, either from studying the Bible or from our own experiences, that all of us fail this command.

Some deal with this fact, by denying God makes such holy commands, and claim that God only "asks" men believe, but we all have a choice to do so or not.

Because of this original deception, crafted by Satan in the garden, all men since Adam have forgotten God COMMANDED Adam to believe, lest he suffer death.

Problem: No man alive, corrupted by sin, can obey the command. Even if God supposedly asks, or woos, or attempts to persuade men otherwise . . . Man cannot obey God' s commands.

Only the Son of Man, Jesus, successfully performed perfect obedience.

Only Jesus Christ fulfilled the lawful commands of God.

And only by faith that He did so as our Mediator and Representative, will we ever be accounted as righteous before God.

God does not ask. God provides.

Man couldn't get Moses right, Hebrews and Galatians make this clear.

The New Covenant command to Love is also a command that is sustained by the Spirit alone.

We can never Love like God, but He has called us to unconditionally Love ALL as He does, and we grow in that Love.

It's all about Jesus, not about us.

Because when Adam first failed to do so, the human nature was corrupted, so that all his biological descendents were born in total bondage to sin, and by nature, unable to serve God in righteousness.

The Holy Spirit is the Father's gift of power to us. Power to overcome our human nature and develop his nature within as Jesus did.

I beg to differ . . our human nature is spiritually renewed by the Holy Spirit in regeneration, but it is never changed into being the same as His divine nature. We remain creatures, even while we partake of the holy benefits and blessings of Christ's divine nature.

Importance of this distinction: Sinners are totally dependent upon the grace of God for their salvation. Never are we considered the elect sons of God, because somehow we have been made equal with God.

Any righteousness we possess in the eyes of God, is forensically imputed to us ONLY by grace, from the Being of the Righteous Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sola deo Gloria!

For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. (2 Peter 1:4)

Jamie,

That's Jesus's victory trophy of perfection imputed to us out of Love.

Consider Paul's words about "counting it loss". We are not Devine, only Jesus's perfection is. (God).

Now, if your trolling, so help me! If your referring to the Spirits work of Love through us, then your just playing the devils advocate with a chuckle! [emoji2]
