According to Joshua 10:12-13, Joshua prayed, "Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon" And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed...
In my opinion, this account tells us absolutely nothing about the mechanics of the solar system (geo vs. helio), in part because the event described was entirely miraculous in nature, but mainly because it just doesn't give us enough information. For example, today we know that the entire solar system is in nonstop motion. The Sun, the Earth, other planets, etc, are altogether revolving around the galactic center at an average speed of 828,000 km/h (230 km/s) or 514,000 mph (143 mi/s). The Earth is also in constant rotation, such that the surface of the Earth at the equator moves at a speed of 460 meters per second--or roughly 1,000 miles per hour. And the Moon orbits the Earth in the prograde direction at a speed of 2,288 miles per hour (3,683 kilometers per hour). So when Joshua 10:13 states that "the Sun stood still," then the Earth (and indeed the entire solar system) must have stood still as well. It is the rotation of the Earth on its own axis that makes the Sun appear to travel across our sky, but the text does not tell us this, nor should it have been expected to. None of this knowledge was known to anyone in Joshua's time. The Bible is not a science book and absolutely nothing of any scientific value has been ever been learned from it. This case is no exception.
