Nit-picker, something like, to criticize something pettily, to find fault, often unjustifiably, with the insignificant details of something.

Something is either exact or it isn't. I don't believe one can have varying degrees of "exactness."

Easier than you think.
1. Spill your soup, coffee, drink on said PoMax.
2. Belch profusely.
3. Jump out of your chair wildly slapping at some imaginary flying insect.
4. Get out of your chair and start looking for something under the table.
5. Start constructing an abstract sculpture using your plate, silverware, cups, saucers, etc.
6. Ask, "Do you, perchance, have a recipe for Egret Souffle?"
There are many other tactics, ranging from the blatant to the subtle, but these will give you a start.
Your guiding principle should be: when anyone tells you there is "no way", remember that there is always a "way."
