Does God love some people more than others?
It is only natural for God to love those that love him. We show our love for God by believing in his Son Jesus Christ and embracing him as our only means of salvation. It is not possible to love and honor God and reject or subvert the work of his Son Jesus Christ. To dishonor God's Son is to dishonor God.
"Whosoever that denies the Son does not have the Father, but he that acknowledges the Son also has the Father" 1 John 2:23.
To deny that Jesus is the savior of the world, is to deny God's Son Jesus Christ, especially when Jesus claims to be the savior of the whole world, John 12:47, 1 John 2:2, 1 John 4:14. To say that Jesus did not defeat sin, death and the devil is to deny Jesus, Colossians 2:15. If Jesus did not defeat sin, death and the devil then Jesus is NOT Lord and should be removed from his position of honor and respect at the right hand of God, Hebrews 1:3.
God's favorites are those who honor his Son by believing in him and in believing what he has accomplished in our name and on our behalf. Calvinism does not honor God's Son because they do not believe that he has atoned for the sins of the whole world. They believe that Jesus only atoned for the sins of some, but not all. Hebrews 2:9 tells us that Jesus has atoned for everyones sins. To say otherwise is to deny God's Son. Catholics also believe that Jesus did NOT defeat sin, death and the devil and that to be saved you must participate in your salvation by the works of the law.
We give Jesus his rightful place as Lord by acknowledging the he is "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16. To believe otherwise is to dishonor God and his Son Jesus Christ. Trying to be saved some other way than by Christ and his Gospel, dishonors God and his Son Jesus Christ.
