ECT Do You Confess Your Sins?

Let's look at the content found in John's epistle about what will happen when the Lord Jesus appears:

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is"
(1 Jn.3:2).

Those who received John's epistles were taught that when the Lord appears they will see Him--"when he shall appear...we shall see him as he is."

They were also taught that "when he shall appear... we shall be like him."

So John was telling them that when the Lord Jesus appears living saints will put on bodies just like the Lord Jesus' glorious body. What will happen then was a mystery truth which will only happen to those in the Body of Christ:

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed"
(1 Cor.15:51-52).

You are confused because you haven't yet learned to rightly divide between "prophecy" and "mystery."
I've seen to confuse and conflate this stuff before Jerry. It's gotten very old.

When the LORD returns to establish His kingdom, John is ONE of the TWELVE apostles that will sit on TWELVE thrones judging the TWELVE tribes of ISRAEL.
Paul is NOT. Paul was given the revelation of the ONE BODY that is made up of NEITHER Jew NOR Greek.

It appears that you will NEVER understand these simple and incontrovertible facts.

The fact that ALL BELIEVERS in BOTH of these groups will be resurrected does NOT make them identical.

I'm sure that you it is getting old for you because you tire from running from the fact that John was teaching that living saints would be caught up and put on heavenly bodies when the Lord Jesus appears.

The fact that ALL BELIEVERS in BOTH of these groups will be resurrected does NOT make them identical.

We are discussing living saints being changed at the appearance of the Lord Jesus. That was a mystery truth that only applies to those in the Body of Christ:

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed"
(1 Cor.15:51-52).

All you prove is that you don't know the difference between "prophecy" and "mystery" and you are also ignorant of the facts concerning the rapture!

John knew NOTHING of the catching away. That is strictly Pauline doctrine.

He certainly knew that living saints will put on new bodies like the Lord Jesus' body when He appears.

But since you haven't learned to tell the difference between "prophecy" and "mystery" you remain ignorant of what will happen at the rapture!

New bodies is NOT the CATCHING AWAY. The CATCHING AWAY is ONLY in Paul's epistles.

You think that ANY similarities make a thing IDENTICAL.... NOPE!

Living saints putting on new bodies at the appearance of the Lord Jesus has nothing to do with the Lord's appearance when He returns to the earth. That is because living saints will not put on bodies like the Lord's at that time.

One of these days you might finally come to understand the difference between "prophecy" and "mystery."

That is hilarious Jerry. You're the prime prophecy/mystery blender.

You are pathetic because you put more faith in what some people say about the Scriptures than you do in what the Scriptures actually say.

Let's look again at John's epistle and what will happen when the Lord Jesus appears:

I challenge you to provide evidence that proves that living saints will be changed when the Lord Jesus appears at His return to the earth to set up His kingdom!

We know that those in the Body of Christ can become defiled in their "walk" so doesn't that mean that once a Christian sins then he is no longer holy?:

"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Cor.7:1).

Are Christian not to confess their sin so that they can have their sins taken away and cleansed from all unrighteousness?:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to remit us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 Jn.1:9).
Yes we are, we are to confess our sins and repent and then live by the will of God and turn from sin. This is to truly follow Jesus.

Believers have been delivered from the law, Jerry.

Galatians 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

Galatians 5:14

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

If we love our neighbour as ourselves we fulfil the law because we wouldn't break Gods laws because we wouldn't do to others what we wouldn't want done to ourselves.

If we truly love one another we will abide by the laws do God.

Paul said we will be judged on what we do good and bad. Once we know he truth, we are to repent, confess our sins, turn from sin and live by the will of God.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

You're talking about the Bema Seat...rewards and loss of rewards. Not salvation.

So?

Do you really not know that Christian's sins in their "walk" have consequences?

"By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed" (2 Cor.6:9).

"For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world" (1 Cor.11:31).

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent" (Rev.3:19).

"And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth"
(Heb.12:5-6).

You need to learn the difference between the Christian's "position in Christ" and his "walk."

They are two different things so in order to rightly divide it is absolutely necessary to distinguish between the two.

You're confusing chastening and condemnation. You're confusing "sins" and faults.

It has to do with the law. My children are not under the law, they are under my care where they learn to grow without being JUDGED and sent to jail or sentenced by the law. That's the difference between law and grace.

You fail to understand that any sin which a Christian commits defiles that person. In order to have that sin taken away and to be cleansed from your unrighteousness you need to confess that sin. If you think that you can sin and therefore be unrighteous and remain in fellowship with the LORD then you are mistaken, as witnessed by Paul's words here:

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?" (2 Cor.6:9).

You need to study the Bible so that you can understand the difference between a Christians "position in Christ" and a Christian's "walk."

They are not the same thing!

CONTEXT Jerry.... the CONTEXT is right there staring you in the face.

So the LORD can have fellowship with the unrighteous despite what is said in "bold":

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?"
(2 Cor.6:9).

CONTEXT JERRY CONTEXT.... That is NOT what the verse is talking about.

That verse is talking about fellowship between BELIEVERS and UNBELIEVERS.

That verse is calling BELIEVERS RIGHTEOUS and UNBELIEVERS UNRIGHTEOUS.

It's AMAZING that you try to make that between the LORD and a BELIEVER that is not behaving perfectly!

Really SICK Jerry.

What is really sick is your idea that a righteous God can have fellowship with a Christian who sins and becomes defiled and unrighteous!
Nice DODGE there Jerry.

Yours was a classic example of taking a verse OUT OF CONTEXT to try to "prove" your point.

Shameful abuse of God's Word!

So you actually believe that the LORD can have fellowship with the unrighteous despite what we read here?:

"Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness"
(Isa.59:1-3).
