Discrepancy between Leviticus 23:6 and Matthew 26:17?

Leviticus 23:6 says : “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread...”

However, Matthew 26:17 says: “Now on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?”

Any thoughts on the seeming discrepancy?

Are you referring to the dates of when the passover was to be held and then the feast of unleavened bread?

What discrepancy?

The "first day of the feast of unleavened bread" in Matthew 26:17 is "the fifteenth day of the . . . month" from Leviticus 23:6.

So, you're saying that it was the 15th when the disciples asked the Messiah where He would like for them to prepare the Passover?

By the time of the NT writers the two (Passover 14th & Unleavened Bread 15th-21st) were sometimes combined to include the entire 8 day period.
Probably due to them being so closely connected.
Thus we have such statements from the NT writers as:

Luke 22:1 ESV
Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called the Passover.

Mark 14:12 ESV
And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, “Where will you have us go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
