A professor at UCLA brought up the topic of abortion in the class discussion one day. She explained that the mother had tuberculosis, the father has syphilis, their first child was blind, their second child was still-born, the third was deaf and mute, their fourth had tuberculosis as well, and the mother was pregnant with her fifth child.
The professor asked the class if they would suggest abortion to the mother as a legitimate way out. The word "Yes" boomed through the hall. The professor responded, "Congratulations, you just killed Bethoven."
