A carol off tune. Drive thru, pickup, and delivery are all doing well thank you, Is this the reset? The new world order? No. Just greedy capitalists taking advantage of a bad situation. They are quick to react. The reset will take more time. Government bureaucracy is slow in deciding whom to shut down.

A Christmas Present
A reset overdue. Life, marriage, and family are the gifts that continue to give. The village is just a place to live. Its standards are not fixed and will reflect the loudest noise. Be quiet and try to understand why a family is so important.

A ghost of a chance to keep it all together. We are close to losing our way. Jesus. The Truth. The life that must be respected. I'm not okay. You are not okay. We will suffer the consequences if we don't get back on course. Life, marriage, and family a necessary trinity.

A Trinity
A father, a mother, a child. We are all part of a trinity. Made in Their Image. That is why the family is sacred. It is the child that joins together the man and woman. One flesh. That is why marriage is sacred. This is also why life is sacred. Not a choice.

"In First Comes Love, Hahn turns his attention to the search for a sense of belonging, revealing the intimate connection between the families men and women create on earth and the divine family, the Holy Trinity.
Delving into the Gospels, Hahn shows that family terminology--words like brother, sister, mother, father, and home--dominates Jesus' speech and the writings of His first followers, and that these very words illuminate Christianity's central ideas. As he explores the fatherhood of God, the marriage of the Church to Christ, and the all-enveloping role of the Holy Spirit, Hahn deepens readers' understanding of the sacraments, teaches them how to create a family life in the image of the Trinity, and demonstrates the ways in which the analogy of the family applies to every aspect of Catholicism and its practices--from the role of "father" embodied by the ancient patriarchs and contemporary parish priests, to the comfort and guidance offered by the brothers and sisters who comprise the Communion of Saints, to the nurturing embrace of Mary, the mother of all Christians"

A Season
A reason to ask questions. Why can't we all get along? How can we ignore what is going on? Can we believe what is being reported? Who can we trust? Is it time to move on? What can I do? Stop. What can you do? What you can do is ask for help.

A choice we make. A consequence is attached to each. Cannot separate them. An improvement however small is still an improvement. Our freedom as well as our choices are limited. Only you can prevent climate change. By limiting life. Your choice. Your freedom.

Happy New Year.
Remember: January 1, is the Solemnity Mary, Mother of God

Not only is January 1 New Years Day, it is also the Solemnity Mary, Mother of God

On this holy feast day, we take a moment as we start our new year to honor our Blessed Mother, who in her “yes” to God brought our Savior into the world to redeem us.

Jesus says on the cross, “Behold your Mother.” As we all jump into the frenzy of the new year and start attempting to bring our resolutions to fruition, let us call on the aid of our Mother Mary to give us the strength to draw closer to her Son every day this year.

Reading 1 - NM 6:22-27

The LORD said to Moses:
“Speak to Aaron and his sons and tell them:
This is how you shall bless the Israelites.
Say to them:
The LORD bless you and keep you!
The LORD let his face shine upon
you, and be gracious to you!
The LORD look upon you kindly and
give you peace!
So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites,
and I will bless them.”

Responsorial Psalm - Ps 67:2-3, 5, 6, 8

R/ May God bless us in his mercy.

May God have pity on us and bless us;
may he let his face shine upon us.
So may your way be known upon earth;
among all nations, your salvation.

R/ May God bless us in his mercy.

May the nations be glad and exult
because you rule the peoples in equity;
the nations on the earth you guide.

R/ May God bless us in his mercy.

May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you!
May God bless us,
and may all the ends of the earth fear him!

R/ May God bless us in his mercy.

Reading 2 - GAL 4:4-7

When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son,
born of a woman, born under the law,
to ransom those under the law,
so that we might receive adoption as sons.
As proof that you are sons,
God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts,
crying out, “Abba, Father!”
So you are no longer a slave but a son,
and if a son then also an heir, through God.

Alleluia - HEB 1:1-2
Alleluia, alleluia.
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets;
in these last days, he has spoken to us through the Son.
Alleluia, alleluia.

Gospel - LK 2:16-21

The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph,
and the infant lying in the manger.
When they saw this,
they made known the message
that had been told them about this child.
All who heard it were amazed
by what had been told them by the shepherds.
And Mary kept all these things,
reflecting on them in her heart.
Then the shepherds returned,
glorifying and praising God
for all they had heard and seen,
just as it had been told to them.
When eight days were completed for his circumcision,
he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel
before he was conceived in the womb.

A new year with an old problem. Let them work. Let them go to school. Let them take their chances. Let them vote by mail with drop boxes and without observers. With machines connected to the internet and Venezuela. Many will move out of the cities but will continue to vote there with masks.
