it is almost noon on the right coast
-
so what is for lunch?
-
bush's best garbanzo beans
-
so what is new?
-
some here use the bible to define words
-
don't we have the dictionary for that?
-
yes but some only use the bible
-
I can't understand why anyone would limit themselves to the bible
-
maybe we just don't understand them
-
it would be difficult if we don't agree on the definition of words
-
isn't that why we have a dictionary?
-
that is my understanding

your bible is man-made and they used a dictionary to make it

WRONG:

2Ti 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Written by men as God inspired them is different than you claiming the bible is man made.

I would agree.

The Bible doesn't say "repent" in either verse you provided. That is a revision on your part. An alteration made to make your claims seem just.

The actual rendering is "regretted." This is vastly different in connotation, as well as denotation, with "repent."

This is just another example of revisionist tactics leading to false doctrines.

Go back and read where i quoted the kjv bible. Then get a lexicon and study, then get back with me.

You like they are trying to make a modern rendering of an english word, apply to an ancient text.

The Hebrew word means changed mind, period as did the word repent in english.

What does your bible say in Luke 1:28? What does your lexicon say?
