the bible uses words that are defined in the dictionary
The words in the bible were hebrew and greek words and the words translated into repent in english, mean change your mind.
But thanks for showing us how confused about the word you are, Praise the Lord that He gave it us to study and know so we can put on the full armor.

when they do bible translations they actually use dictionaries
Exodus 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Genesis 6:6
6 And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.
Same meaning, repent means to change your mind, man changes his mind about his way vs Gods way when he comes to Christ. God repents/changes His mind on some things too, doesnt mean confession of sins except in english.
The biblical meaning is to change your mind, plain and simple.
have you ever been sorry you did something?
why don't you just look at how the word is used in the new testament?and english words change meanings over time. One more time, refute this:
Would you like to insist God is sorry for sins there?
Talk about the tail wagging the dog. :doh:the bible is not a dictionary
the bible uses words that are defined in the dictionary
The Bible defines its own terms. I don't need a man-made dictionary to understand God's Word.do you use a dictionary?
Talk about the tail wagging the dog.
I believe God is immutible. He does not change. He is not "open" to change, depending on man's actions. He commands repentance, and judges accordingly.yep, which has nothing to do with the words that are translated repent in the bible means to change your mind.
