TOL members, for the past two weeks you have been reading about the bad break I got, in not winning any awards, thus far(although quite deserving, especially the "Most Humblest TOL poster" award). Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of this earth. I have been on TOL for 11 years, or perhaps since the Lincoln administration, and have never received anything but kindness and encouragement from you TOL fans(except stupid Tet., and "god"rulz).
Look at these grand men. Which of you wouldn’t consider it the highlight of his wolf/wolf-ette exposing career, just to associate with them for even one day? Sure, I’m lucky. Who wouldn’t consider it an honor to have known STP, the mayor of TOL? Also, the builder of "meanest," Nick the Great? Sure, I’m lucky.
So I close in saying that I may have had a tough break, but I have an awful lot to live for.
That should clinch it. How'd I do, on the "original," and "humility" "meter?"

And, your grandstanding for STP not withstanding, I believe STP would say the following(and, if he wouldn't, he should, or could have):
"I do not believe that I should devote an hour or a day of my time to any personal partisan causes or to any duties other than the awesome duties of this office--the mayor, and 'calming/gracious voice,' of TOL.
Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my admiring TOL members/party for "maddest of the year 2014." But I encourage you to vote for Saint John W, and I'm not just sayin' that, to avoid being banned, when he is rightfully installed as 'MOD for the Day.'"-what STP might have said
